For #WednesdayWellness, we’re talking about self-care during the holidays, but not because it’s a trendy topic. More directly, we’re sitting in a virtual room with women who are going through their fertility treatment, beginning their cycle, in the midst of taking multiple injections daily, or sitting during that two-week wait.
Self-care isn’t just about salt baths, chocolate, or facial masks (although those are all fabulous things that we’ll talk about in just a minute). It’s about making choices to put yourself first and take care of what is important and prioritizing what you need in your life right now.
Letting go of the disappointments and allowing yourself to choose a new start. If you’ve dealt with previous failed cycles, recurrent losses, or anything that has brought you down, please know we are holding space for you that is full of hope.
Metro is a team of fertility experts that have accumulated over 100 years of knowledge and experience within the #ttccommunity. Yes, we will fill #fertilitymed prescriptions and ship them wherever you need to be. We also will be there with personalized service.
Some of the ways to help reduce stress this holiday season, alleviate anxiety, reconnect with your partner, and get back to center?
⁃ Take 30-second breathing exercise. Clear your mind, focus on your breathing, close your eyes. Allow 1 single, positive thought into your mind and shut everything else out for that time.
⁃ Give yourself time in a long, hot bath. Make the time to allow your body to let down and relax.
⁃ Giving over getting can reconnect you with your partner and deepen your relationship. Offer a massage, light a candle, put on some music, and muster up some holiday spirit.
⁃ Get active in pushing forward and ahead with a brisk walk. It will increase endorphins and clear the mind.
